43 PBC Softball Players Earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

LOUISVILLE, KY – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has released the 2016-17 All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors and 45 players from Peach Belt Conference teams were on the list.  To be named an NFCA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete a player must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the 2016-17 academic year. 

The NFCA named over seven thousand players to the list from all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA, junior colleges and high schools.

Georgia College led the Peach Belt with nine players while Francis Marion, Georgia Southwestern, North Georgia and Montevallo had seven each and UNC Pembroke had six.
