Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: KP Pannu, Columbus State

Pannu wins his fourth weekly honor this season after finishing the regular season with two singles and two doubles victories last week.  The #1-ranked player in NCAA Division II, he defeated #58 Axel Cronje of Lander 6-1, 6-3 and Matt Astell of #31 Francis Marion 6-1, 6-1.  The senior from Wellington, New Zealand, partnered with Tommaso Schold at #2 doubles to beat the Lander team of El-Moslemany/Cildir 6-4 and FMU’s Espinoza/Guerrero 6-2.  Pannu helped the Cougars to capture the PBC regular-season title and the top seed at this weekend’s PBC Tournament.
