Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: Arnold Kokulewski, Columbus State

Kokulewski went 5-0 in all matches last week as the Cougars won three times, including twice in conference. The senior from Zielona Gora, Poland, dropped only seven games in his three singles wins, claiming each in straight sets.  He beat #14 North Georgia’s Mark Laishey 6-1, 6-2 and Young Harris’ Romeo Luque 6-3, 6-0. In doubles he partnered with Matei Avram to beat UNG’s Gaskin and Renaud 7-6 and YHC’s Luque and Gonzalez 6-2. Kokulewski is 11-2 at #4 singles and has the highest winning percentage at that spot of any PBC player.  He is 13-3 overall in singles play and 11-8 in doubles overall, 4-0 when paired with Avram.
