Beresford Signs With ASU Volleyball
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta State head volleyball coach Sharon Bonaventure announced Katie Beresford has signed her letter-of-intent and will enroll in the fall semester.
The 6-2 middle hitter from Fishers, Indiana played three years at Fishers High School. She started every match the past two seasons, splitting time at the middle and outside hitter positions and totaling 223 kills and 111 blocks, both team highs. She was named to the Hoosier Crossroads Conference All-Conference team in 2010, and an honorable mention nod in 2011.
“Katie completes our roster when it comes to the middle hitter position,” Bonaventure said. “She is very quick on her release and her block. If her kill and block numbers are any indication of what she'll do at the collegiate level, then we can't wait to get her into a Jaguar uniform.”
ASU is looking to build on the momemtum generated last season, when they advanced to the PBC Tournament semifinals and placed PBC Freshman of the Year Alex Rohlfing on the All-Tournament team, despite having just one senior on the roster.
