Armstrong's Wolf, UM's Wotitzky Named Volleyball Players of the Week

Player of the Week

Brittany Wolf, Armstrong Atlantic State
6-0 • Jr. • MB • Bethlehem, Ga.

Wolf hit .475, averaging 2.85 kills and 1.20 blocks per set in the No. 16-ranked Pirates' six wins on the week. She began the week by hitting .636 with a career high-tying 16 kills in a 3-0 PBC win at Francis Marion on Tuesday, then matched up against Conference Carolinas first-place Lees-McRae on Friday and hit .417 with 12 kills and six blocks in the 3-1 win over the Bobcats. Wolf ended the week with a nearly flawless seven kills on eight attacks (.875) against St. Andrews ... Continues to lead the PBC and rank in the top 10 nationally in hitting percentage at .430 and now ranks second in the league in blocks at 1.01 per set.

Specialist of the Week

Rachel Wotitzky, Montevallo
5-4 • Sr. • L • Punta Gorda, Fla.

Wotitzky was unstoppable at libero this week as she averaged 7.42 digs per set. She started the week with 19 digs on the road at ASU,  then had 19 digs against Erskine in a neutral site match. She followed that up with a record-breaking 31 digs on the road at Limestone. She has now broken the UM Record for digs in a three-game set three times this season. Her final match was against Lenoir-Rhyne and she had 20 digs to finish off four matches with 89 digs. She currently ranks seventh in career digs at UM and third in the PBC for digs per set this season.
