FMU's Crook, Flagler's Snipes Named Volleyball Players of the Week

Ashlee Crook, Francis Marion

Crook was outstanding in three conference matches for the Patriots last week with 4.18 kills and 2.36 digs per set while hitting .294. She began by tying a career-high with 19 kills and a whopping .600 hitting percentage (one error in 30 attacks) in a win against UNC Pembroke. She then had a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs at Flagler and finished with 15 kills and seven digs at #19 Armstrong. She leads the PBC in total kills in conference matches and is 10th in digs.
Specialist of the Week
Olivia Snipes, Flagler
5-7 • Sr. • S • Easley, S.C.
Snipes was nearly flawless in two conference matches for the Saints, averaging 14.25 assists per set with 2.12 digs. She began with 52 assists, six digs and a block against Francis Marion then cracked the 60-assist mark for the second time this season with 62 in a four-set win over UNC Pembroke. She added 11 digs and two blocks in that contest and now leads the most efficient offense in the PBC as Flagler leads the conference with a .264 hitting percentage and 14.43 kills per set. Snipes leads the PBC in assists per set with 12.00 and is ranked in the top six nationally.
