Player of the Week: Kay Stewart, Lander

Stewart hit an eye-popping .409 in four matches over the weekend as Lander went 3-1 at the Limestone Southeast Crossover. The senior had only seven errors in 92 total attacks with 44 kills. She reached double-digit kills in three of the four matches with 15 in a five-set win over Carson-Newman. In addition to her attacking, Stewart displayed outstanding defense with 30 total blocks in the tournament. She had eight solo blocks and one assist against Carson-Newman, then added five more solos and three assists in a 3-1 win over Limestone. Stewart continues to lead the PBC in blocks with 1.37 per set.
