Armstrong's Mydla and Krtickova Named Tennis Players of the Week

Krtickova led the No. 4-ranked Pirates to three wins over nationally-ranked opponents as Armstrong remained unbeaten on the season at 11-0 ... The No. 2-ranked singles player in the nation outdueled No. 8-ranked Zora Vickova of fifth-ranked Hawaii Pacific, 6-0, 6-4, then picked up singles wins over No. 2 (NAIA) Fresno Pacific’s Katarena Paliivets, 6-4, 6-4, and No. 13 Grand Canyon’s Priscilla Annoual, 6-4, 6-3 ... Teamed with Aleksandra Filipovski to give up just three games in three doubles wins, over No. 23-ranked Mittag and Van de Velde of Grand Canyon (8-1); over Fresno Pacific  (8-1) and over Hawaii Pacific’s Hansen and Smejova (8-0).

Men's Player of the Week

Mydla picked up a pair of wins over ranked opponents as the No. 3-ranked Pirates stayed perfect on the season at 13-0 ... Began the week with a 6-4, 7-5 win over No. 21 Hawaii Pacific’s Gerald Moretti ... Knocked off No. 17 (NAIA) ranked Nathan Martinet of defending national champion and top-ranked Fresno Pacific, 6-3, 6-1 ... Then dispatched No. 47 Patrice Giraldi of 15th-ranked Grand Canyon, 6-2, 6-1 ... Teamed with Eudaldo Bonet to go 3-0 in doubles, knocking off Boretti and Weling of Hawaii Pacific, 8-4; Bruce-Burgess and Sanchez of Fresno Pacific, 8-1, and Grand Canyon’s Saleem and Tonus 8-5 ... Mydla is a perfect 11-0 in singles and 14-0 in doubles.
