D'Addio, Forsman and Edens Receive Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

D'Addio didn't score the most goals in the opening weekend, but she had the most important with two clutch game-winning goals for Flagler, who is 2-0 for the first time since 2007.  Coming off the bench in both games, she scored in the 61st minute on a free kick to give Flagler a 3-2 lead (and win) over Anderson, then fired a laser from 25 yards out in the 88th minute to give the Saints a 2-1 win over Limestone. Leads the PBC with two game-winners and is tied for third with two goals on the season.

Fanny Forsman, UNC Pembroke
Jr. • D • Borås, Sweden

Forsman anchored a defense that posted two shutouts to start the season, including a 13-0 win over Barton on Thursday and a 4-0 win over 2010 NCAA Tournament participant Pfeiffer on Saturday. In the Barton victory, the UNCP defense allowed just two shots, including one on goal. Forsman notched one goal and an assist in the Barton victory, and then added to her season total with another goal in the victory over the Falcons on Saturday. She is currently tied for sixth in the PBC with five points. 

Alli Edens, USC Aiken
Jr. • GK • Lexington, S.C.

Edens was a key part of USCA's 2-0 start, their best season start since 2005.  The junior allowed one goal in 141 minutes played, making four saves.  She played the first 51 minutes in the Lady Pacers' 1-0 shutout over Coker and then played all 90 minutes on the road as USCA beat Newberry 2-1.  She is currently third in the PBC with a 0.64 GAA.  She is the first USCA women's soccer player to win the PBC goalkeeper of the week award.
