AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference has announced the six
members of the women’s basketball preseason All-Conference

team as were Columbus State’s Phebe Smith, Francis
Marion’s Shannon Singleton-Bates, Kendra Chandler of USC
Aiken and LeSheria Stevens of Clayton State.
McKever and Lyons were key parts of the Lander team that won their second consecutive PBC Tournament in 2009. Smith shot 56 percent from the field and was named an All-American. Her 625 points scored and 353 rebounds are both the fifth-highest single-season totals in PBC history.

A returning junior from South Norwalk, Conn., Singleton-Bates led the highest-scoring team in the nation with 13.0 points per game and in rebounding with 5.1 per contest.
