Francis Marion University cross country coach Mark Bluman has announced the signing of Michael Bigelow of Florence to a national letter of intent to attend FMU and run for the Patriots this fall.

Columbus State Men Finish 19th at Cross Country National Championships; Women 24th
Columbus State's Meshack Koyiaki capped off an outstanding season by finishing ninth at the NCAA Division II Cross-Country Championships on Saturday on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana. The CSU women, on the heels of their first-ever region championship, finished 24th in the women's race on Saturday. Individually, UNCP's Pardon Ndhlovu was named an All-American with his 30th place finish.

Columbus State & Two Individuals Advance to Men's Cross Country Nationals
Columbus State placed two runners in the top 10 and three in the top 20 as they finished second at the NCAA Southeast Regional championships on Saturday in Wingate, N.C. UNC Pembroke's Pardon Ndhlovu and Clayton State's Fidelis Mutiso also advanced.

Columbus State’s Meshack Koyiaki and Fidelis Mutiso were named the Peach Belt Conference men’s co-Runners of the Year while CSU’s Brittany Skiles was named the women’s Runner of the Year at a banquet on the eve of the PBC Championships in Pembroke, N.C.

PBC Cross Country Championships Set for Saturday
The Peach Belt Conference will host its 19th Cross Country Championship this Saturday from the Luther Britt Park in Lumberton, N.C. The championship is the first of the PBC-GEICO Championship Series and brings together the largest field for a cross country championship the PBC has had since 2003.

Montevallo to Reinstate Men’s Cross Country in 2010
The University of Montevallo Athletic Department announced today (Sept. 8) that men’s cross country will rejoin the Falcon athletic family beginning in the fall of 2010. With the addition of men’s cross country, Montevallo now offers 11 varsity sports.
