FMU signs Aiken cross country runner
Francis Marion University cross country coach Mark Bluman has announced the signing of Justin Albertson of Aiken to a national letter of intent to attend FMU and run for the Patriot men this fall.

ASU To Reinstate Mens Cross Country
The Augusta State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that it will reinstate the varsity sport of men's cross country for the 2010-2011 academic year, becoming the 11th sport sponsored by ASU.

The Armstrong Atlantic State athletic department announced today that it will reinstate the varsity sport of men's cross country for the 2009 season, becoming the eleventh sport sponsored by AASU.

Aycock Named UNCP Cross Country Head Coach
Athletic department officials at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke announced that Gary Aycock will assume the duties of head coach for both the mens and womens cross country teams, while also retaining his position as director of compliance and assistant track and field coach.

Kreutzer, Kiprop Named PBC Runners of the Year
Clayton States Allison Kreutzer and Francis Marions Hillary Kiprop were named the PBC Runners of the Year at a banquet in Milledgeville, site of the 2008 PBC Championships. Augusta States Adam Ward was also recognized as the womens Coach of the Year while Clayton States Mike Mead was the mens Coach of the Year

Clayton State won the Anderson Trojan Invitational on Saturday morning while UNC Pembroke finished back in the field. North Georgia ran at the Furman Invitational.

GCSU Charity 3k Fun Run to Benefit Make-A-Wish
Georgia College & State Universitys Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is set to host a 3K run for The Make-A-Wish Foundation Saturday, Oct. 25 immediately following the Peach Belt Cross Country Championships.
