Peach Belt, Columbia County to Host 2012 and 2013 Soccer National Championships
Peach Belt Conference commissioner David Brunk and Columbia County, Ga., Board of Commissioners chairman Ron Cross announced that Evans, Ga., and Blanchard Woods Park have been selected as the host site of the 2012 and 2013 NCAA Division II mens and womens soccer National Championships.

Georgia Southwestern State University mens soccer player Michael Moses has been selected as the first-ever recipient of the Wachovia Foundation Minority Postgraduate Scholarship, presented at an awards dinner at the Peach Belt Conference annual meetings in Hilton Head.

Tournament MVP Jamie Ramm scored twice in regulation and goalkeeper Matthew Atkinson made two saves in a penalty-kick shootout as Lander defeated Flagler to win the 2009 PBC Mens Soccer Tournament on Sunday evening at Blanchard Woods Park, part of the PBC-GEICO Championship series.

Andy Ludewig took a flick pass from Jamie Ramm and found the back of the net as Lander advanced to the PBC Championship game with a 2-1 double-overtime win over Clayton State in the semifinals on Friday.

UNCP's Schaeffer Announces Retirement After 30 Years

Flagler Captures 2009 Men's Soccer Championship
Johan Bergfeld scored on a one-timer which proved to be the game winning goal in the 47th minute as Flagler College defeated Francis Marion University 3-1 to claim the 2009 Peach Belt Conference mens soccer regular season title Saturday at Saints Field.
