Nov 11, 2007 Lander Falls to Lees-McRae in NCAA Regional FinalBANNER ELK, N.C.----The No. 19-ranked Lander men's soccer team
lost to No. 2 Lees-McRae College, 1-0, Saturday night in the NCAA
Division II Southeast Regional championship at Tates Field.
Lees-McRae (21-1-1) will now advance to the NCAA Elite Eight.
Lander finishes the season at 14-5-2.
LMC's Tom Brailsford scored the game's lone goal in the 84th minute
on a double assist from Berin Boracic and Jonny Bownes. It was
LMC's 13th shut out of the season.
Lees-McRae outshot Lander, 14-4, and led in corner kicks, 7-3.
Lander goalkeeper Garrett Daum recorded six saves, while
Lees-McRae's Sean Paradise had one.
