UNCP's Walor and McCurry, Lander's Uremovich Named Golfers of the Week
Men's co-Golfer of the Week
Jordan Walor, UNC Pembroke
Sr., Wake Forest, N.C.
Walor shot a 75 in the opening round of the Carolina Sands
Intercollegiate, but roared back with a second-round 66 to finish
in a tie for eighth place alongside teammate Jonathan McCurry and
Barton's Daniel Clayton. The senior finished at three-under
141, just four strokes out of the lead. His second-round 66
is tied for the fourth-lowest round fired in the Peach Belt this
season. Walor leads the league with a 71.4 stroke average and his
eighth-place finish is his seventh top-10 of the year.

Men's Golf co-Player of the Week
Jonathan McCurry, UNC Pembroke
Sr., Sanford, N.C.
McCurry fired rounds of 70 and 71 to finish in a tie for eighth
place at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate. He was tied with
teammate Jordan Walor and Barton's Daniel Clayton at
three-under-par, just four strokes out of the lead. His two
rounds under par give him eight on the season and his eight-place
finish is his fifth top-10 of the season. McCurry is second
in the Peach Belt with a 72.0 stroke average for the season.

Women's Golfer of the Week
Rachel Uremovich, Lander
Soph., Hilton Head, S.C.
Uremovich shot a one-under-par 143 (69-74) and placed second
overall at the two-day, two-round, 18-team Agnes McAmis Memorial on
Monday and Tuesday at the Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville,
Tenn. Uremovich held the first-day lead and paced Lander to a
third-place overall team finish. Her opening-round 69 is tied
for the second-lowest single round played in the Peach Belt this
season and led her to her highest finish in six events so far this
year.
