Men’s Basketball Player of the Week: K.J. Sherrill, Georgia Regents
Sherrill was rock-solid in a pair of wins for the Jaguars, averaging 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He opened up with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in a win over Georgia Southwestern, then scored 13 with six rebounds against Columbus State the next day. He also blocked what could have been the game-winning shot at the buzzer to preserve the 74-72 score. For the week, the senior shot 56% from the field, made all seven of his free throw attempts and added 2.5 assists per game. Sherrill is currently second in the PBC in field goal percentage.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week: Bryonna Davis, Armstrong
Davis scored 29 points, including hitting the game-winning three-point play with 0.1 seconds remaining to give Armstrong Atlantic State University an 81-80 win at Flagler on Saturday, clinching the PBC East Division title for the Pirates - the first league basketball title of any kind for Armstrong since 2002-03. Davis hit 9-of-18 shots from the floor and 4-of-7 three-pointers as well as all seven of her free throw attempts. The win was the seventh in a row for the Pirates. Davis now ranks ninth in the PBC in scoring.
