Player of the Week: Chris Commons, USC Aiken

With a pair of 20-plus point outings in wins last week, Commons led his USCA squad to the 2007-08 PBC Championship…For the week, he averaged 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals…He hit 65.4 percent from the field and 9-for-11 from the line…In the clinching win Wednesday over Clayton State, Commons tallied a game-high 25 points and also grabbed six boards…Sunday against GCSU, Commons would not let his team have a letdown, scoring a game-high 21 points and grabbing a game-high seven rebounds in the Pacers 72-67 win at GCSU…The junior hit 9-for-13 from the field, including 2-for-4 from long range while blocking a shot and getting two steals...leads the PBC in scoring with 22.1 ppg.
