Brock McCallister, Francis Marion

McCallister had five straight multi-hit games for the 4-1 Patriots, batting .500 with 11 RBIs. In a three-game series against #15 North Georgia, the senior hit 7-15 with three runs scored and eight RBIs. He began the week with five hits, including two doubles, against St. Augustine's. In the second game with the Saints, he went 2-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs after tripling in the opener. He made only one error in 24 chances at second base, slugged .750 and stole a base. McCallister is currently third in the PBC in RBIs and seventh in batting average.
Pitcher of the Week
Chris Thomas, Lander

Thomas pitched a complete-game four-hit shutout against #21 Georgia College as the Bearcats opened the series with a win. The junior struck out seven and issued no walks in the contest, giving up singles in the first, second, seventh and eighth. He set down the side in order five times and set down 16 batters in a row at one point. He needed only 103 pitches to earn his first complete game of the year. With his efforts he cracked the PBC's top 15 in ERA and is ranked fifth in the conference in strikeouts.
Freshman of the Week
R.J. Dennard, Armstrong

Dennard hit .714 with 10 hits in 14 at-bats in leading the Pirates to a series win over Georgia Southwestern. He drove in three in his first four-hit game as a Pirate in Sunday's 14-1 win over the Hurricanes, then bettered that with a 5-for-6 performance in Monday's 17-7 win, the first five-hit game for a Pirate this season. Dennard ran his current hitting streak to 11 games with at least one hit in all three game this weekend. Is now second in the PBC with a .452 batting average and fourth in on-base percentage.
