North Georgia Announces Beall as Sports Information Director

DAHLONEGA, GA – North Georgia College & State University announced that David Beall has been selected as the Sports Information Director after serving as interim director for the last six months.

"David is a loyal and dedicated young man,” athletic director Randy Dunn said. “He will strengthen the North Georgia Athletic Department in terms of his knowledge and passion as the Sports Information Director.”

Beall will step into the position full time after graduating this May from North Georgia with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management. After serving three years as a student assistant in the Sports Information office, Beall stepped in as interim director during his senior year and will assume the position full time for the 2008-09 seasons.

“I am honored to stay at North Georgia and work with this excellent group of coaches and staff,” Beall said. “I am looking forward to making the sports information office one of the best in the Peach Belt Conference and promoting a group of programs that are quickly becoming some of the best in the nation.”

During his four-year college career, Beall was a member of the Saints cross country team for three seasons and served as team captain for his junior and senior seasons. He also served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for two years and was a member of the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor roll on three different occasions.

Beall has worked with Atlanta based Sports Radio 680 The Fan (ESPN radio) from 2004-2006. He assisted in producing the popular afternoon talk show “Buck and Kincade” throughout the summer of 2004 and was the local correspondent for the “Dan Patrick Show” for 680 The Fan.

During his tenure with ESPN radio he was also the stations game day reporter for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Tech football and Basketball, and University of Georgia football. He conducted interviews with players and coaches during this time that aired daily
on 680 The Fan.
