NCAA Division II Celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2012-13. As part of their celebration, 48 former student-athletes were honored by the NCAA throughout 2013. Former Georgia College women’s basketball player Dr. Amy Smith and former Lander men’s soccer player Stilian Shishkov were named to the 40th Anniversary Tribute Team.
The Peach Belt Conference office was one of 17 NCAA recipients of the Division II Community Engagement Award of Excellence. The league received the honor after hosting ‘Community Day’ in conjunction with the annual PBC men’s and women’s soccer tournament championships in Evans, Ga., in the fall of 2012.
Kevin Keenan is often the last line of defense on the Flagler College men's soccer team. He is responsible for thwarting any kind of attack on the goal to keep the Saints in the game. A two-time all-region and all-Peach Belt Conference selection, Keenan's performance on the field has been recognized. But it was late spring that all of Keenan's learned tactics in soccer and endurance would translate to a real life experience.

Flagler College received their third consecutive PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award at the annual meetings in Hilton Head on Tuesday night. The award was founded in 2008 and Flagler has claimed the award three times in it’s five year existance.

The Pirates, who won their first cup last season, are a founding member of the Peach Belt and become the seventh program to repeat as cup holders.
