The Clayton State Lakers will begin the 2011-12 season where they ended last year: as the top team in the nation. The Lakers were ranked #1 in the preseason USA Today/ESPN coaches poll. Lander is ranked 10th while USC Aiken is 17th.

Flagler brought the PBC's longest winning streak in history to a close on Wednesday, handing the Pirates a 3-1 loss and ending Armstrong's 31-0 perfect start to the season. The two are now tied atop the PBC standings with two matches left. USC Aiken remained solid in third with their third straight win and UNC Pembroke dominated on their home court.
