Columbus State Launches New Website with PrestoSports
Columbus State University unveiled their new athletics website as they begin their partnership with PrestoSports. The new csucougars.com launched today and sports fans will find a new look to the school's athletic website.
"It makes a lot of sense for us to make this move to Presto
Sports at this time," said CSU Assistant Athletic Director for
Communication Mike Peacock. "The timing is perfect as our
three-year commitment with Athleticsite.com just ended, and we are
now able to network with other PBC schools."
"I do want to be clear that we were in no way dissatisfied with
Athleticsite and the work that Scott McCain did for us. We had a
wonderful relationship with Scott and his company and our service
was outstanding. This is just a move that we felt we needed to make
to have a lot of uniformity and solidarity with other schools in
our conference," Peacock said.
Fans will notice the new look of the site immediately as it
launches, with incorporation of more photos of CSU athletes in the
headers and several features for quick and easy navigation. The
site will also feature more opportunity for multimedia offerings
such as video, an enhanced live statistics view, and many more.
"We were due for a re-design whether we switched providers or not,
and Presto helped us come up with the design we had pictured. It
will take all of us a little time to get acquainted with everything
the new site has to offer and exactly how to move around, but after
a short adjustment, we think our fans and those searching for
information on our programs will be well-pleased and impressed with
our site," Peacock added.
Columbus State becomes the eighth PBC school to join the PrestoSports network. Georgia Southwestern, North Georgia, Armstrong Atlantic State, Georgia College & State University, Francis Marion, Montevallo and USC Aiken have all launched new sites within the past two years. PrestoSports is also the official web provider of the Peach Belt Conference and developed peachbeltconference.org.
